Spiritual Gifts and Qualifications Helpful for the Job

Nurture members must have a genuine interest in helping others deepen their relationships with God and with people, and then lead from the strengths of their spiritual gifts. They must listen well and communicate with people of all ages in the congregation and community. Some spiritual gifts and that nurture committee members possess include:

· servanthood,

· faith,

· teaching,

· exhortation (encouragement),

· leadership,

· compassion,

· knowledge,

· helping, and administration.

Current Nuture Goals/Activities

Revitalize class leaders for membership connectivity.
Oversee the scheduling of in-home visits with shut-ins and others needing visits.
Provide/coordinate educational opportunities such as Bible Study and Vacation Bible School.
Support Prayer Requests through the Church Bulletin and Phone Calls
Updating Membership Rolls
Revitalizing Confirmation Classes for United Methodist Youth

Future Goals/Activities

Establish/re-establish a Congregational Care Team that can: Administer the sacrament of communion in homes and hospitals to those who are unable to attend services in the church.
Plan a once a year church outing.
Plan a journey to Jerusalem “Following the Path of Jesus”
